Before I move on to my experiences in Thailand (and I have been in Bangkok less than 48 hours and can tell you there is a lot to write about, not the least of which is the street food!), I wanted to post some more pictures from “roaming around Kathmandu”.

Well the trek to get to Kathmandu so as to be able to trek there is long and arduous. At least from Washington, D.C. anyway. There is no direct route to Nepal, so two layovers, one in Munich and one in Istanbul, and approximately 27 hours were required to finally get here.
